Sustainability is a community practise – it depends on a network of relationships inside and outside the school, relationships that require effective collaboration and cooperative decision-making to maintain.
These skills are among those the students will need to tackle our many environmental challenges. The road to becoming a sustainable school, therefore, offers many opportunities for staff and students to learn and model these skills.
In the course of our sustainability audit, we engage with all stakeholder groups to understand their different perspectives on sustainablity and its importance to the school community.
This lays a foundation for the school to begin to envison the sustainable future it wants for the campus and the community.
